Join Wi-Fi on a phone, laptop or TV
Have the Wi-Fi network name and password handy. Use the details Riley supplied if the router has been configured for your home.
Connect a phone or computer
- Open Settings and choose Wi-Fi or Network. Turn Wi-Fi on and wait for the list of nearby networks.
- Select the exact network name. Enter the Wi-Fi password with the same capitals and punctuation. If using the Grandstream label or QR code, confirm those factory details still apply.
- Open a new website. On a phone, briefly turn off mobile data so you know which connection you tested. Turn it back on afterwards.
Connect a television or console
Open the device’s network settings and choose a wireless connection. If the screen is awkward for typing, check each character before saving. For a stationary device near the router, you can instead use an Ethernet cable from a free router LAN port. Leave the router’s link to the ONT in place.
If the device remembers an old password
Confirm the new password works on a second device first. Then choose Forget network on the affected device and join again. If the network name is missing everywhere, check router power and move a device close to it. A missing network on just one device is a different fault from every device losing internet.
