The fibre box has no power

Use this when the ONT is dark or you have moved in and found it without its adapter.

Identify the unpowered device

Look at the wall-mounted fibre box itself. The Wi-Fi router has a separate power lead. If every ONT light is off, check its power connection at the wall and at the box. If the whole property is without power, wait for power to return before testing the service.

If the lead is missing or damaged

Use only the correct ONT power supply. A plug that fits can have the wrong electrical rating. For a Chorus ONT, follow the power-cord replacement link in the Chorus equipment guide. If you are unsure which company owns the box, send Riley its model and your address. Leave any damaged adapter unplugged.

When power returns

Let the ONT finish starting. Check its optical indicator before troubleshooting the router. If the ONT still has no lights with its correct adapter and a working power point, report that exact observation. Avoid opening the box or disconnecting the optical lead.
